You begin by choosing something your child wants to explore. It might be a worry, a question, an interest or something happening in their world.
Your child then enters the story and makes choices as it unfolds. The experience gives you a shared starting point for connecting, exploring and seeing where the story goes.
The focus is on taking part together, rather than finding a single right answer.

You can take an interest in what your child chooses, see what happens next and share the experience together. There is no need to turn it into a lesson or make every moment into a conversation.
The story can be an experience in its own right.
